A hi vis polo shirt is the everyday uniform for crews who need to be seen from sunrise to clock-off. Hi vis polo shirts and Australian standards
Hi vis work clothing is made to AS/NZS 4602.1, which sets the design and the garment class. The fluorescent colour and the reflective tape are specified in AS/NZS 1906.4. Three classes matter when you choose a polo: Class D for day use, Class N for night use, and Class D/N for day and night. A polo with fluorescent fabric only is a day garment. A polo with reflective tape is the one to wear for dawn, dusk and night shifts, or on sites near traffic and moving plant. Your site rules set the class you need. Check the class and the tape layout on the product page before you order for a crew.
For outdoor work, sun protection matters as much as visibility. Sun protective clothing is rated by UPF under AS/NZS 4399, and a UPF 50+ polo gives the highest rating. Where a polo has a UPF rating, it is stated on the product page.

Short sleeve polos are the most common, and long sleeve polos are popular with tradies who work outdoors in the middle of the day, because they cover the forearms. Most polos below are day-use styles with fluorescent fabric only.

Hi vis polo shirt colours
Orange and yellow are the long-standing hi vis colours, and lime is also widely used. Pink is available in some styles, such as the Bisley BK1425 in hi vis pink. Many polos pair the fluorescent body with navy, black or charcoal panels that hide dirt, such as the JB's Street Spider Polo 6HSSP.
