Choosing nursing shoes: slip resistance, fit and workplace rules
Nursing shoes need grip, cushioning and an upper that is easy to clean. They do not need a steel toe cap, which is why nursing shoes sit under occupational footwear rules and not safety footwear. Check your workplace dress code before you buy, because some hospitals and clinics require a closed, wipe-clean upper and do not allow mesh or perforated styles.
Fit: Skechers are sized in US sizes, KingGee women's shoes run AU 4 to 11 in half sizes and KingGee men's AU 6 to 13, and Softies run 5 to 11.
